  • If you are inside, you turn the knob to lock the door.
  • If you are outside, you press and hold one of the touch buttons for 1 second, or you enable auto lock to lock the door as soon as it is closed (the lock notices the vibration of the door closing).
  • Of course, you can also use the app to lock the door.

Installation can be done in 20 minutes and only requires a screwdriver – no drilling. You can also let one of our professionals do it for you.

Yes! In The Netherlands and Belgium you can change your lock without asking for permission, and you do not need to hand over the keys. In fact, it is highly recommended to change your lock, to ensure previous tenants cannot enter your house. As the Loqed Smart Lock does not require drilling, you can change back to your old lock when you move out.

The Loqed Smart Lock is SKG 3-star certified. We have verified that the mayor Dutch insurance companies cover theft from your house as long as you have a sound lock. Usually you are even covered if there are no signs of a break-in. Always check your own insurance policy. The insurers we verified are: Centraal Beheer, ING, Interpolis, Ohra, Reaal, Univé (5th of July 2018).

The Loqed Smart Lock is SKG 3-star certified and meets all software security standards. Only your phone and the Loqed Smart Lock have access to your digital keys – even we cannot open your door. Read more on security.

The batteries last up to one year, and you’ll get timely notifications to replace them. Didn’t replace them in time? Don’t worry! The Loqed Smart Lock features an emergency power connector on the outside module. Find out how it works.

If the battery of your phone is empty, you can always enter by using your personal code.
